RSS (Really Simple Syndications) or content feeds has been a part of the Notes client for some time now and gives the user a unique opportunity to get desired information updates at his/hers fingertip, without leaving the client. Most websites on the net today has this feature as part of their content update services and can for most part be recognized by the rss feed icon .
The RSS feature is a built in sidebar functionality, that is easy to configure and use.
Go to the sidebar and expand the Feed section.
The first time you use the RSS feeds toolbar you get the possibility to activate some preset RSS feeds.
Adding RSS feeds
To add your own RSS feeds to Notes, you will first have to find RSS feed enabled sites, that you wish to follow/subscribe to and get the url for that sites RSS feeds. I will use Notes Is cool as an example and the RSS feeds url looks like this http://www.notesiscool.net/feed/.
3. Optional, change the feed name, update ratio and the time the feeds should be kept in the toolbar.
4. The selected RSS feeds is now included in the RSS feeds toolbar.
When you click on one of the posts, you will get a pop out dialog, presenting you with an abstract of the feed content and an Open button to open the actual feed url, for that particular information.
Introduced: Version 8.0.
